Arctis AI
2025–presentAutomated bid evaluation for construction procurement.
Arctis AI is bid leveling and evaluation software for construction. It ingests tender submissions in any format (PDF, Excel, Word, scans, and GAEB) and produces automated bid comparison, deviation analysis, and award memos in minutes instead of days. A TU Munich spin-off, founded in 2025, hosted in Frankfurt, GDPR-compliant, on ISO 27001-certified infrastructure.
HOW IT WORKS
- Structural comparison. Maps positions across different bid structures, normalizes quantities and units, matches specs against tender requirements, and calculates true total cost including delivery and payment terms.
- Risk detection. Surfaces cover-letter exceptions, conflicting general terms, scope-shifting assumptions, alternatives, and contradictions between attached datasheets and the tender.
- Documentation check. Matches what the tender required against what each bidder submitted, flagging missing, expired, or non-conforming documents.
MY ROLE
As CTO and co-founder, I own the technical side end to end: the AI architecture, the multi-agent document pipeline, the infrastructure, and the engineering team. The stack spans multi-agent LLM orchestration, a knowledge-graph layer for interdependencies between documents, German-language NLP, and a document-processing pipeline built for the realities of construction paperwork (Leistungsverzeichnis, GAEB, and the rest).
TRACTION
Closed a pre-seed round of over $1M led by PT1, with EWOR, Superangels, and angels from European construction and tech, including Alexander Schwörer, owner of the PERI Group. Backed by EWOR, NVIDIA Inception, Google for Startups, and TUM Venture Labs. Customers in Germany, Portugal, and Turkey within the first three months, with coverage in tech.eu, Startbase, The Recursive, and Tech Funding News.
